Family office coordination in Romania

A financial concierge for families who need one view of their affairs and a coordinator across existing advisers.

When several advisers depend on the same decision

A Romanian entrepreneur may hold a business, property and financial investments through different relationships. The accountant sees the company accounts, the banker sees the accounts at one bank, and the lawyer sees the documents for a particular matter. The owner is left to connect the information. Family office coordination gives that work a defined scope and a responsible person.

An engagement can start with a specific gap, such as an incomplete view of liabilities, overlapping provider charges or a decision that has stalled between advisers. We first establish which family members and entities are included. Relatives, companies and assets outside that scope are not automatically covered.

What the working file can contain

The agreed outputs can include an inventory of assets and liabilities, an adviser directory showing each provider's responsibility, a consolidated overview based on supplied records, and an action register with owners and deadlines. We can compare the charges shown in provider statements and record questions about overlapping services.

Each entry should identify its source and reporting date. A property estimate, a private company valuation and a bank balance do not have the same evidential basis. Missing statements and unverified valuations remain visible as gaps; a consolidated overview is not an audit or an independent valuation.

From the initial review to ongoing coordination

We review the available records with you, agree priorities and obtain permission for the necessary adviser communications. We then organise discussions where one specialist's work depends on another's answer. Decisions, unresolved questions and the next responsible person are recorded together.

For an ongoing mandate, the review schedule and the information expected from each provider are agreed in advance. Changes in ownership, borrowing or family responsibilities can require a separate review. New work and additional specialist costs need an agreed scope.

Decisions and professional responsibilities

You retain decisions about your assets and the appointment of advisers. Elian Partners organises information and follows up on the non-regulated work within the mandate. We do not take custody of assets, exercise discretionary investment powers or give personalised investment recommendations through this service.

Portfolio management, investment advice and brokerage require a separate relationship with the appropriate authorised provider. Lawyers and tax advisers remain responsible for their professional opinions. Our fee arrangements and any remuneration for introductions are disclosed under our independence and fees policy.
